Bring on the sleaze: VOODOO PASSION review

Angel Heart and The Serpent and the Rainbow are great, but there are (to my knowledge..) not many great voodoo movies. So I jumped for joy when I found out that Jess Franco had made one in the 70’s called Voodoo Passion. I can imagine the brainstorming: “Hey, let’s make a voodoo movie, but with tits!” “Yeah! Wo-hoo, tits tits tits tits tits tits!” The plot? Susan (Ada Tauler) has nightmares about voodoo and travels to Haiti to live with her rich boyfriend who lives in a villa with a lesbian housekeeper named Olga (Karine Gambier). Franco rarely gets the honor he deserves simply because many compare his films to second-rate porn. Which of course is a stupid, ignorant thing to say. However, if you understand his films, I recommend this one. And if you think this review is full of crap, this movie probably isn’t meant for you. Tits tits tits tits!
