The Deathless Devil is a wacky, low-budget Turkish spy/superhero hybrid and the plot is simple: Dr. Satan (pronounced “Sheyten”) plots his next assault on mankind like something straight from a Bond movie; To steal technology that will let him control the world’s robots and electronics. And there’s only one man who can stop him: A goofy looking, masked crime fighter called COPPERHEAD played by Kunt Tulgar (hardly the most macho of names). Kunt is good in the role of Copperhead, and I watched with pure amazement as he jumped over things, punched people in the stomach and had topless sex with the hottest chicks in Turkey.
But for my part, it’s the guy who plays Dr. Satan, Erol Tas, who steals the show. He was the most famous movie villain in Turkey in the 70s and he’s great here, right up there with Zod and Ming, and he has the coolest mustache I have ever seen! He is extremely evil and he does lots of evil things. Sometimes it’s a bit confusing and hard to understand what Dr. Satan really wants to achieve with all this evil. But that doesn’t matter. His name is Satan, he’s very evil and he must be stopped. End of story. The robot in the movie is obviously just a weirdo with a cardboard box costume sprayed with silver paint and decorated with lights, and boy is he funny. Mein Gott, this movie is awful, I loved every second of it! It’s quickly paced and very entertaining in a messed up sort of way.
