What all westerns should be like: BLINDMAN review

In this spaghetti take on “Zatoichi”, a blind gunman (Tony Anthony of The Stranger movies) is hired to escort 50 mail order brides to their sex starved husbands. However, his partners double cross him and sell the women to an evil Mexican pimp and his slimy brother (none other than former Beatle Ringo Starr!) Our hero is somehow able to ride a horse to Mexico — so he sets off to kick ass and free the gals (“I want my fifty women!”) A bizarre story line and a bit cartoonish maybe, but the film is very violent, Tony Anthony is terrific in the title role and the women get naked, which makes the movie extremely entertaining. But seriously, Blindman has all the goodies you’d expect to see in a cool Spaghetti Western and it’s definitely worth a peek or two.
