Another must-see for giallo addicts: THE BLACK BELLY OF THE TARANTULA review

This is considered to be one of the most acclaimed films in the giallo genre, and it’s about a burned out detective (“I want to quit!”) who is trying to track down a gloved lunatic with a big hat who is killing hot, buck-naked women by inserting needles dipped in wasp poison into the back of their necks and mutilating their bellies with a big knife! The victims are paralyzed, so they must lie awake and watch themselves die! Giancarlo Giannini is credible in the role of the worn out police hero, and he is surrounded by no less than three beautiful Bond girls: Claudine Auger (“Thunderball”), Barbara Bouchet (“Casino Royale”) and Barbara Bach (“Spy Who Loved Me”). The Black Belly of the Tarantula is good film with nude body massages, a surprise ending and soft, lustful music by Ennio Morricone.
