Gold Raiders is one of those outrageous films you got to see to believe. A plane is shot down in Thailand and lands in the jungle. It’s carrying a gold treasure, so Robert ‘The Exterminator’ Ginty decides to recover the gold and murder a bunch of evil communists with a rocket launcher. After parading poolside in his skimpy little speedo of course. This film has it all. Fight scenes, action, explosions etc. It even has a flying motorcycle and a rubber shark. Cinema as it should be! Sure, the acting ranges from bad to worse, but that’s part of the fun. Come on, fast-paced action/adventure films like this don’t really require acting, do they? Gold Raiders isn’t quite as fantastic as Ginty’s White Fire (few things in life are), but it’s pretty damn awesome. Trashy B-movie at it’s best. Don’t hesitate, check it out – especially if you got a thing for Robert Ginty movies.
